For my final project in art class I have chosen to use the theme "Future". Doing so I am going treen printing meaningfull pictures on a T-shirt as if they were tattoo's. The reason why the theme "Future" is relevant to my plan I had with those s because the images I am going to put onto I was to change his shirt are going to be images that I will be getting one day in the "didn't come out to e". So really the shirt is going to resemble my body and the images will resemble tCelticwork of tattoo's. Some of the images I am going to have on the shirt will be a lion which is a symbol of God and I will place it over my heart so then he will always be close to me, a anchor and boat wheel on the back of my shoulders that will say "sailors life" because I am a sailor and I always will be, a maple leaf on the right side of my chest so then one day if I become very rich and move somewhere else in the world I will still never forget where I came from because the maple leaf is on Canada's national flag and a national figure for Canada, I will have 2 nautical starts on the back of my arms because the nautical stars help you find your way back home from somewhere else and I always want to remember that I can always find my way back to where I truly am from, and finally I will have an inspirational quote on my stomach of the T-shirt that will say "live life to its fullest" because I always make sure I am having fun so then there is never a dull moment in life so really the quote reminds me to never forget that. To do this art project I am going to need to do screen printings on the shirt but before I do that I will do some test trials on cotton fabrics to get good outcomes. I have asked online what are good things to know while doing screen printings and someone said always make sure everything is taped down properly so then you won't have any paint bleeding spots, as well to iron the images when everything is down so then they will stay on. I will be starting this project very soon and hope I won't run into any problems but I still need to do some research before I do so.

Cross curricular FINAL
I have finally finished my cross curricular between art and biology. Today I have put all the final details on my gorrilla that were needed to get the eye appealing look to the painting. The gorrilla eye came out really good because of the different shading and the eye region. As well in the painting I added the jacket to the rest of the body and a little but of a T-shirt to go with it as well, and to finish the jacket off I wrote "NIP ROCK" on it since that is what our school jackets say on them. To tie the rest of the painting together I put a darker backround with a lighter shading of white and grey around the gorrilla and painting of me so then the images will be able to pop and get the attention of the eye. I am really happy about the way the whole painting turned out to look like. Some of the skills that I have learned from this assignment are to stay patient, use several paint brushes to get certain looks and styles added into the artwork, and starting from really dark colors and slowly making them lighter to get the correct shading are the best skills to have for painting

Cross curricular #6
In my painting I have all of the painting part of the gorrilla finished, now I just need to do small details like the little hairs, dots in the eyes to make it more attractive and the ridges around the nose. So far I have been concentrating on the little hairs on the jaw line and the forehead of the gorrilla because then I can work from the outside in to get all the details done right. I have been using a small paint brush and lit of greys and whites to get a 3D hair look to the gorrilla. The ridges I have added to the gorrilla aren't exactly turning out the way I wish them to look like, they really do seem like grey lines going straight across the nose. It has been hard to get some semetrical look to the ridges on the nose because I am not having good controlled of the paint brush while doing so. After a while of practicing and sticking to it I have noticed that if you hold the paint brush by the tips of your finger you can get better cintroll of the brush. Doing so j have been able to get most of the detail done in my painting of the gorrilla. Soon I am going to finish up the rest of the detail in the gorrillas face and then I am going to add an arm to the gorrilla and painted a jacket on me on the right side of the portrait and I will be finished. So far everything has been running smoothly with only a few minor bumps in the road.
Cross curricular #5
I have started working on the left side of the portrait (the gorrilla side) and so far so good, but I do know that it is going to be tough to do properly. I have noticed while painting that by using 3 different pain brushes relatively around the same time it becomes easier to paint with. I would use the big paint brush for painting thick and large amounts of one color, I would use a medium brush for doing some shading and rounded movements, and the smallest brush I could find for very small detail such as the hairs in the gorrilla. In my portrait I started painting most of it black but I did really concentrate on the eye because I think the eye needs to be attracting to those observing the painting. For now I will just do most of the shading and painting of the image, later I will he doing very fine and detailing features.
Cross curricular #4
Earlier I was painting the right side of the canvas using darker colors so then I could start to do some color blending and shading in the portrait. Since I have had that part if the artwork finished I have been slowly starting to work on more of the color blending by adding in more lighter colors such as whites and greys for around the mouth, cheekbones and for head. To do so I would have to be very carful on how much lights I would add to the darks because if there was to much white in one area it could throw off the whole painting. Several times in the process I would have to restart an area by covering it with a black so then I could work again. Eventually after most of the struggle I went through I shaded the whole right side of the face properly and precisely. Soon I will start painting the gorilla.
Cross curricular #3
Since my art work has been traced on on the canvas from the projector and shaded properly I have decided that it is time to paint. I chose to start painting the right side of the canvas with the drawing of me on it because I figured why not start with the best looking part of the artwork. Since I chose to do so I will be avoiding large quantities of specific detain needed like all the little hairs in the gorillas fur. I started off painting all the dark spots first like the hair, eyes and jaw line so then I can work my way to very light shading. Hopefully very soon I will have the darks finished so then i can start to do the rest of the color blending in the painting.
Cross Curricular Update#2
Lately on my cross curricular art I have been tracing out each of the two projector drawings on the canvas so then I can paint it later. To do this I drew a line down the centre of the canvas so then I can do the left side of the canvas the gorrilla and then the right side of the canvas the picture of me. It took some time but eventually I had everything lined up perfectly so then it would look like the 2 would match up together. Since I traced out the pictures I have been doing a lot of shading in the canvas so then I will be able to tell how dark I will need to pain in others and then how light I can paint in other areas to get a 3D look, or a nice semetrical look. Very soon I will be painting on the canvas
